Get to know the passionate individuals behind Prickly Pear Film Props, LLC. Our team is dedicated to delivering excellence and innovation in every project.

John Van Sickle - John has gained a high level of expertise through decades of experience in the Living History Hobby, is nationally certified as a firearms instructor and Range Safety Officer. He also serves as the state muzzleloading director for the New Mexico Shooting Sports Association. Much of John's frontier period, museum quality historical reproductions have appeared in many film productions as well as museum exhibits.

Success Stories

While serving in the Army, John was tasked with developing the Safety and Environmental Compliance program for all Coalition Forces in Northern Kuwait. This involved analyzing accident trends as well as drafting and implementing safety policies. It is a matter of pride that during John's tenure, not a single Coalition soldier was lost due to an accident. This was the first rotation since the beginning of the Global War on Terror that this occurred.
